Hello world!
by admin at 1:48 pm— There will essentially be two layouts: sidebar on the left (home page), and sidebar on the right (all other pages). See Photoshop file.
— I’d like all pages to be Wordpress category posts. So for instance, when you look at my Photoshop file, and view the Services page, you’ll see a main block of text at the left, and a menu of links in the right sidebar. I’d like those links to work like they do on this web site (http://clicknathan.com/about/). You’ll see that when you click on his links on the right, they appear to be posts within a category.
— MAIN CATEGORIES: services, about and contact
— SUB CATEGORIES: — Under services (Web Design, Print Design, Video, InfoProducts and Hosting)
— I’ll use Wordpress’ blog capabilities. I don’t want a blog link in the top menu, but there needs to be a link to it in the footer. I’d like the blog to use the same layout as the Services page, with the sidebar on the right, and entries on the left. Blog categories can be listed in the sidebar, and recent entries can be in the footer.
— BLOG CATEGORIES: blog-web, blog-print, blog-css, blog-video, blog-wordpress
— All images should open with the Lightbox plugin when clicked on.
— Take a look at the Services page again. So the page title (Services) would be an “H1″, and
the text would be a “p”, or maybe a class of “p”, however you want to set it up. There also needs to be a style for a subhead. I’m curious how I’ll enter future text for something like the Services page. When I use the WYSIWYG interface in Wordpress, will I need to switch to Code view? Otherwise, all Wordpress let’s you do is Bold, Italic, etc. Any tips you have on that is helpful. You can see there are two separate text styles in the sidebars as well… a header for the sidebar (in white), and the links below.
