Blurb makes bookmaking easy, cheap

by Joey at 1:07 am

Have you ever wanted to create your own book from your photos? Want to organize those photos from your latest family vacation? After searching a very long time for cheap and quick services for printing, I came across Blurb.com, an online bookmaking company based in San Francisco, Calif. This company has allowed those ideas to become reality.
By going to Blurb.com, you can download the BookSmart application for your computer (Mac or PC), and begin to make your book. All you need is a computer, an internet connection and an idea.
The software, once you download it, is fairly easy to use. And it’s very user-friendly. First, you select the size of the book you would like to create. The books range anywhere from $12.95 to $169.95, depending on the size (dimensions) and page count. Once you decide what book you’d like to create, you can then import photos into the book, and begin working on your book.
As I said, the software is easy to use. You basically drag and drop photos into spots specifically marked out for photos. Because of the low cost to create these books, Blurb also has a network of graphic designers who design books, and offer their services to anyone interested. Along with that, you are welcome to purchase other books created by “Blurbarians” in the marketplace on the Web site.
While the design of Blurb books can be templated and simple, people have been known to dress them up quite a bit using their own touches. Blurb just makes it a little easier on the designer to get their book published at a rate they can afford.
Check it out, and sign on at www.blurb.com.
